AWANA

AWANA is a ministry that helps the next generation learn and memorize God’s Word.

The name AWANA is an acronym for

“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.”

This phrase comes from 2 Timothy 2:15, which encourages believers to present themselves to God as workers who are not ashamed and who correctly handle the word of truth.

Purpose of AWANA

  • The primary goals of the AWANA ministry are: Evangelism and Discipleship: Sharing the Gospel and helping children grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Scripture Memory: Encouraging kids to “hide God’s word in their hearts” through organized handbook, memorization, and recitation.
  • Fun and Engagement: Utilizing high-energy games and theme nights to create an environment where kids want to learn about the Bible.
